About the CRC

CRC Robotics is a non-profit organization founded in 2001 and organized by EAST (the Educational Alliance for Science and Technology). EAST organizes various science and technology events with the goal of inspiring innovators, inventors, engineers, scientists, doctors, and professors as well as the leaders of tomorrow.

The CRC's Mission is to:

  • Organize an activity centered around the students, both in its characteristics and its realization;
  • Create a project in which the students will be able to apply and develop their knowledge of science, mathematics, computers, art, and languages;
  • Develop a practical application that will define the link between topics learned in the classroom and its application in the workplace;
  • Encourage young women to pursue a career within the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM);
  • Promote the achievement of a common goal by cultivating teamwork among all students;
  • Teach students that the pursuit of excellence is more important than winning;
  • Reduce the school drop-out rate in Quebec and all of Canada.



In essence, the CRC is:

  • An event that involves students from high schools, CEGEPs, and professional technology centers;
  • An multidisciplinary event that relates French language,English language, computers,mathematics, science, art, and much more;
  • A competition that develops that qualities of a leader and teaches students about organization and teamwork. Everything is directed and performed by the students;
  • A challenge that allows students to apply the theoretical knowledge gained in theclassroom to a practical application in order to familiarizethe students with technologyoutside of the classroom.
  • A chance to take part in an extra-curricular activity andwork with students and mentors from different backgrounds and domains (engineers, technicians, university professors, etc).
